James K. Weston

Jim and his wife Kelly have lived in Iowa since graduating from the University of Iowa, where they met. They have two children, now adults, who were born and raised in Iowa City. Jim has maintained an active civil trial practice for more than 25 years. He is based in Iowa City but tries cases across the State of Iowa.

Jim is a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers; an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates; and is active in the Iowa State Bar Association, having served as co-chair of the Bridge the Gap committee for many years. He frequently speaks to lawyers groups on issues ranging from trial practice, civil litigation, insurance law, and ethics. Jim handles a variety of civil cases, including personal injury, defamation, insurance, business law, and contracts.
