Congratulations to Hayley Masching and Jessica Glick for obtaining a favorable ruling on their recent motion to dismiss on behalf of a healthcare provider! The motion involved Plaintiffs’ failure to properly serve the provider with process within the 90-day deadline set out in the Iowa Code. Great work Hayley and Jessica!

We are happy to announce that the American Academy of ADR Attorneys recently named Craig Nierman a board-certified mediator. Craig’s mediation practice includes insurance, tort, and health care issues.

Erek Sittig, Crystal Raiber, Jooyeon “Zoe” Lee and Hayley Masching have joined Phelan Tucker Law LLP in Iowa City. Raiber and Sittig join following the retirement of their former partners and the closure of their previous law firm Holland, Michael, Raiber & Sitting, PLC. They bring their robust real estate, estate planning, probate, business and municipal law practices along with decades of experience with them to Phelan Tucker.

Lee received her LLM from the University of California – Los Angeles in 2015 and her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2019. She joins the firm following a clerkship in Iowa’s Third Judicial District and a judicial internship in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, where she honed her legal analysis, writing, and research skills.

Masching recently graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and was awarded Best Brief, earning her a spot on the Jessup International Moot Court Competition Team.

Lee and Masching will maintain general law practices. Phelan Tucker Law LLP is proud to welcome these outstanding attorneys to the firm and looks forward to better serving our clients with their help and expertise.
